The century-old St. Agnes College, an autonomous institution, here will introduce co-education from the academic year 2022-23, according to principal M. Venissa and joint secretary of St. Agnes Institutions M. Lydia.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, they said that the college so far offered education only to girls. It will also admit boys with girls from the coming academic year.
They said that the college will admit 20% to 30% boys. Their ratio will be increased later in the coming years.
“In a time where the world is moving forward and attempting to break barriers of all kinds, including gender, St Agnes College too is going ahead with new programmes for the new age,” they said.
