Ambika, a teacher from Government School, Bokkapatna, had read in the newspaper about the seed ball campaign and had found it interesting. Hence, she turned up along with her friend Asha Nagaraj, a homemaker, at the Canara Girls School grounds in Dongarkery for seed ball preparation on Sunday morning.
Nearly 100 people took part in the activity of seed ball preparation held jointly by the Saavayava Krishika Mattu Grahakara Balaga, Uttista Bharata, and Lions Club here.
Anil Rao, a member of the balaga who is coordinating the activity, said the seed ball making activity on Sunday was the first in the series of weekly programmes to be held in different parts of the city till June.
