‘KRCL not specifically told about railway adalat’

May 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - MANGALURU:

The Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) has said that it was not specifically told about the proceedings of the railway adalat organised by Railway Yatri Sanghas here recently.

Responding to a news report appearing in these pages on Monday, KRCL’s Regional Railway Manager, Karwar, Bindu Muralidharan told The Hindu that she was not informed about the agenda of the meeting.

She had just received a letter from MLC Ivan D’Souza informing her about his nomination as Karnataka government’s representative for the Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee, Southern Railway, Chennai.

He had also mentioned in the letter about the adalat and requested her presence. However, her office informed the MLC’s office that since KRCL had nothing do with Southern Railway, she would not be participating in the meeting, she said.
