Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has launched Phone Grievance Registration system for speedy redressal of complaints of passengers.

The facility was inaugurated recently by Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu at Kankavali Railway Station on the Konkan network. Passengers may call the toll-free number 18002665725 any time of the day and record the grievances on the system. An audio file is created, which is then attended to by KRCL officials. Response on redressal of the grievance would be replied through an SMS.

KRCL already has an SMS Grievance Number 9004470700 where passengers can SMS their complaints.

Konkan food

Konkan food products (Konkani Meva) can now be booked online and ordered to be delivered at doorsteps. The facility, however, is restricted to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai at present. KRCL has facilitated this online shoppe to promote Konkan food products as suggested by Mr. Prabhu.

Mr. Prabhu recently launched the project, sale window of which is being provided by Konkan Railway Women’s Cultural and Social Service Organisation.

Products like kokam sharbat, amla sharbat, sol khadi, ginger kokam, lhadkhade laddu, dink laddu, papads, are available for sale online. To get these products, either one has to go to Konkan Railway’s website — www.konkanrailway.com — and click the link of Konkan Railway Mahila Samithi to proceed further, or directly visit http://www.konkanproducts.zepo.in.

KRCL also claimed that these Konkan food products were available for sale on board trains running via its network.

Coach to be added

Train No. 22630/629 Tirunelveli-Dadar-Tirunelveli would be permanently augmented with a 3-Tier air-conditioned coach from February 4, ex-Tirunelveli and from February 6, ex-Dadar, said another release.
