Karnataka Bank launches DigiLocker facility

It is for customers as part of the bank’s digital initiative here

Karnataka Bank on Thursday launched DigiLocker facility for its customers as part of its digital initiative here. The facility is being given by integrating bank’s MoneyClick internet banking channel, said a release here. DigiLocker is a key initiative to store the digital documents, by National E-Governance Division under Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Digital document means certificates issued by the government department/agencies that are made available digitally, namely, Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, Registration Certificate (RC), LPG documents, etc. Indian citizens who sign up for a DigiLocker account get dedicated cloud storage space of 1 GB that is linked to their Aadhaar number. Karnataka Bank’s customers may access their DigiLocker account through its MoneyClick Internet Banking account. To avail of this, the customer has to click on access DigiLocker upon logging in and access the DigiLocker page.
