Four more arrested in June 13 case

Four more persons were arrested in connection with 10 cases registered following the group clash in Kalladka on June 13. With this, the Dakshina Kannada police have arrested 22 persons.

Following a fight between two persons, two groups threw stones at one another resulting in injury to four persons, including a sub-inspector of police on June 13. This clash, which occurred after the clash on May 26, resulted in prohibitory orders being imposed in Bantwal and three other taluks.

Meanwhile, rituals related to the installation of a Hanuman statute in Kalladka was held amid heavy police presence on Monday.

RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Rajashekarananda Swami and some religious heads participated in the function that went on till noon. There was no untoward incident reported.
