Different forms of mandalas done with dot paintings using acrylic colours are attracting visitors at an exhibition on Mandala Art by Gayathri Nayak, an engineering graduate, in the city.
The exhibition at Kadri Rocks, Kadri Kambla Road here, began on Sunday. It will end on April 14.
It is dot painting by artist Brandy Youland that inspired Ms. Nayak to take up the art in September 2017 when she was in the U.S.
“It is my nature to connect with the inner-self that made me come out with different forms of mandalas,” she added.
Among her Mandala Art that have been exhibited included “Om and 7 chakras” on a 12 x 12 inch canvas. “This painting is on the philosophy of the need to have a balanced and clear chakras that will energise our mind, body and soul,” Ms. Nayak said.
The Majestic Blue, which, according to Ms. Nayak, is the biggest painting she has done so far. The other paintings included Beautiful Solar Eclipse, Mandala of Inner View, Beautiful flower of Mandala, Divine Flower of Life and Devasena Mandala.
Apart from Mandala, she has displayed her other dot paintings too.
They include Eagle Eye Ocean World, Madhubani art and Warli dot art fusion. She has displayed a few of her dot paintings done on compact discs and on small cut outs too.
