Corporation Bank celebrates 114th Foundation Day

Corporation Bank on Monday celebrated its 114th Foundation Day, the day when it started functioning in Udupi under the leadership of Khan Bahadur Haji Abdullah Haji Kasim Saheb Bahadur with a first day business of “38 Rupees 13 Annas and 2 pies”.

Bank Managing Director and CEO P.V. Bharathi, Executive Directors Gopal Murli Bhagat and Birupaksha Mishra and other senior officials offered floral tributes to the founder at the beginning of the celebrations.

Ms. Bharathi launched Corp Ease — the mobile banking application in 10 regional languages — to mark the Founders Day. The bank also extended financial support to the Shivamogga Institute of Medical Sciences to procure three haemodialysis machines under its corporate social responsibility scheme.

Earlier during the day, bank employees participated in a Walkathon from the bank’s Centenary Library to the head office articulating the bank’s motto, “Prosperity for all”.

The programme was followed by a musical evening by singer Ajay Warrier and team. Foundation Day celebrations and functions were organised by the bank at various centres across the country. To commemorate the 114th Foundation Day, 114 CSR activities were undertaken by the bank across the country.
