No power

There will be no power supply to Kaup, Polipu, Kalya, Koppalangady, Muluru, Uchhila and nearby places in Udupi district on June 9 between 9.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. It is for maintenance works on 11 Kv Shirva-Kaup power supply line, a Mescom release here said.

Dak adalat

The quarterly dak adalat for Mangaluru postal division will be conducted in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Balmatta, here on June 16 at 11 a.m. Complaints regarding postal services in the division should reach the same office on or before June 15. They will be addressed at the adalat.

4 G services launched

Bharti Airtel Limited launched its 4G services in the city on Saturday. It would provide more advanced internet services. Its customers can now avail a complimentary upgrade to 4G by availing 4G SIM at 3G prices at its outlets, a release said.

World No tobacco day

Dakshina Kannada Legal Services Authority observed World No Tobacco Day in the premises of the district jail here on Saturday. Inmates of the jail were explained about health hazards from consuming tobacco and as well as from consuming alcohol.

Training

The government will provide legal training to lawyers of Scheduled Tribes during 2015-16. Last date to apply to the Project Co-ordinator, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Abbakka Nagar, Kottara is on July 1. Call 2451269.
