D.V. Sadananda Gowda, MP, said on Tuesday that the Union Government was giving more importance to regionalism than nationalism.
He was speaking after inaugurating the birth anniversary of the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, organised by the district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, here. Regionalism would only lead to internal competition with grave consequences.
The United Progressive Alliance government was only interested in its survival. Hence, it was giving more importance to its allies. There was no dearth of ideas in the country. But their proper implementation was essentialhe said.
