October 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - MADURAI:

Actor Vijay’s fans clubs have sought police action against unidentified persons who have been trolling the actor through social media. Separate complaints were lodged with Madurai City Police by S.R. Thangapandi and P.V. Inbaraj, presidents of urban and rural district headquarters respectively, on Thursday. They complained the actor was being defamed on social media like Facebook and Twitter with intolerable phrases and morphed photographs for the last few months.

Though one of the Facebook pages was removed two days back, the page had again made a comeback, they said.

Stating that Facebook and Twitter pages were spreading defaming messages against the actor, the complainants said that lakhs of Vijay fans were shocked and upset with them. They asked the police to trace the unidentified accused, take appropriate action.
