Revenue officials seized four vehicles and a bullock cart that were used for lifting sand from waterbodies illegally here on Sunday.
Led by Uthamapalayam RDO Chenniappan, a special team conducted a raid and seized three tipper lorries, a tractor and a bullock cart. Earlier, the officials got an information about rampant lifting of sand from Kottakudi river and Pichankarai, Valasaiaru and Koolangaru streams along the Western Ghats.
