Use online facility to apply for passport: Collector

The government has started accepting passport applications from Common Service Centres (CSCs) administered by the Tamil Nadu Cable TV Corporation from September 23 across the State.

Public can make use of the facility by paying a service fee of Rs.100 and banking charges of Rs.55 apart from the passport fee of Rs.1500.

Applicants should submit their passport applications along with the required copies of documents and fix an appointment with the passport officials in Tirunelveli.

Inspecting the Common Service Centre at the Cllectorate, Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan appealed to the public to use the facility. For further details can be had from www.passportindia.gov.in

Candidates could also avail themselves of the facility of applying online for TNPSC examinations, Mr. Chavan added.

Revenue Divisional Officer S. Madhiyazhagan, Special Tahsildhar, Tamil Nadu Cable TV Corporation P. Subramanian and others accompanied the Collector.
