Two minor students of a catering college jumped from the terrace of the institution after the Principal complained about their behaviour in the college to their parents near here on Wednesday.

The police said that the girls, one from Ammankovilpatti and another from Burma Colony, were pursuing first year diploma course. The Principal, N. Selvaraj, 39, had found that the girls were indisciplined and complained this to their parents. Besides, he had made the girls submit apology letters.

The girls, who were dejected over the action, climbed up the stairs and jumped from the terrace of the first floor of the building.

They have been admitted to a private hospital. One of the girls had sustained fracture on her hand.
