SSI bitten by snake at counting centre

Special Sub-Inspector of Police Venkatasubramanian on Thursday suffered snakebite while he was on bandobust duty at a counting centre.

The police said the SSI, attached to District Crime Branch, was on duty at the main gate of a college where electronic voting machines and VVPAT machines of Sattur Assembly by-elections were kept. The snake bit him around 1 a..m. He was immediately rushed to Government Hospital where his condition was said to stable.
