Collector Sandeep Nanduri handed over set-top boxes to the heads of 87 government high and higher secondary schools on Wednesday to enable the students to follow the educational programmes being televised on the Tamil Nadu government’s recently launched education channel.

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Sandeep said teachers should encourage their students to follow the educational programmes being beamed on the channel to understand even difficult chapters of their lessons and also to inculcate good values.

Moreover, the teachers should also attempt to record their students’ skills and the events of their schools to get it televised on the channel, the Collector said.

Chief Educational Officer Gnana Gowri and others participated.
