Train Number 16191 / 16192 Tambaram – Tirunelveli – Tambaram Antyodaya Express, with 16 coaches of general second class, has been extended to Nagercoil with effect from Tuesday (March 5) in both directions.
Train Number 16191 Tambaram – Nagercoil Antyodaya Express will leave Tambaram at 11 p.m. every day and reach Tirunelveli at 12.05 p.m. the next day. Leaving Tirunelveli at 12.10 p.m., the train will have a one-minute stoppage at Valliyoor at 12.45 p.m. and reach Nagercoil at 2.20 p.m.
Train Number 16192 Nagercoil – Tambaram Antyodaya Express will leave Nagercoil at 3.50 p.m. every day and stop at Valliyoor for a minute at 4.19 p.m. and reach Tirunelveli at 5 p.m. Leaving Tirunelveli at 5.05 p.m., the train will reach Tambaram at 9.45 a.m. the next day.
Antyodaya Express is a fully unreserved train service operated on routes with dense traffic.
Aimed at making travel more comfortable for unreserved passengers, the Antyodaya Express has cushioned luggage racks with coat hooks, LED lights, mobile and laptop charging points, water purifiers, fire extinguishers with anti-theft arrangement, enhanced capacity dustbins and bio-toilets.
It is a boon for passengers who travel between Chennai and the southern districts of Tamil Nadu at short notice, particularly during festival and holiday seasons.
It covers important places such as Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Dindigul and Madurai.
Change in timings
The timings of Train No.22632/22632 Bikaner – Madurai – Bikaner Anuvrat Express (weekly) has been changed with immediate effect.
The new timings are:
Train No.22632 Bikaner – Madurai Express will leave Bikaner at 2.50 p.m. on Sundays, arrive Chennai Egmore at 9.50 a.m. on Tuesdays, leave Chennai Egmore at 10.10 a.m. and arrive Madurai at 6.45 p.m.
Train No.22631 Madurai – Bikaner Express will leave Madurai at 11.45 a.m. on Thursdays, arrive Chennai Egmore at 7.55 p.m., leave Chennai Egmore at 8.15 p.m. and arrive Bikaner at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, according to a .release.
