Accused in Pandian murder case produced in court

One more accused in the Pasupathi Pandian murder case, who had surrendered before a court in Chennai, was produced before Judicial Magistrate Court II by the police here on Thursday.

The investigating officer said that Shanmuga Sundaram of Chettiyarpatti in Rajapalayam was the third accused. He had Pasupathi Pandian pinned to the chair while the other two accused stabbed him.

Judicial Magistrate A.P. Latha allowed the police to take the accused in custody for three days and produce him before the court again on February 5.

Two other accused, Arumugasamy and Arulanandhan, had surrendered before Valliyur Court. The Dindigul police arrested M. Muthupandi (37) of Karattazhaganpatti and P. Nirmala (49) of Nandhavanapatti, sister of a head constable.

Fourteen persons, including prime suspect Subhash Pannaiyar, brother of Venkatesa Pannaiyar of Tuticorin, have been identified in the murder case.
