Aavin official suspended

General Manager of Dindigul district Aavin Mohammed Farook has been placed under suspension on charges of misappropriation of funds.

Source said he was facing charges of corruption in selling milk and misappropriation of funds in disbursal of money to dairy farmers. Recently, there were also complaints against him that he was illegally selling Aavin milk to private companies.

Investigation by Aavin officials from Chennai found Mr. Farook guilty and he was handed over an order of suspension on Friday. Further investigation was being done with Dindigul district Aavin manager Dinakaran Pandian and sales manager Venkatesan.
