Aavin dairy farm to come up on 25 acres

The district administration is scouting for 25 acres of land suitable for establishing dairy farm, Collector Sandeep Nanduri has informed.

After Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami inaugurated the ‘Aavin Office’ for the recently created Thoothukudi District Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union and the Aavin Sub-Registrar’s office, built near Mudivaithanenthal on an outlay of ₹ 68 lakh, through videoconference, on Tuesday, Mr. Sandeep said the Aavin office which had been established in a rented building would soon move to its own premises shortly.

Moreover, the Aavin’s dairy farm would be established on 25 acres.

“We’re scouting for the suitable land for setting up the dairy farm. Once the land is finalised, work on establishing the dairy farm will be started immediately,” he said.
