Water Metro may get German aid

The State Secretary of the Federal German Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community Gunther Adler has expressed willingness to help speed up the Kochi Metro Rail Limited’s prestigious Water Metro project. Mr. Adler was responding to a suggestion by KMRL Managing Director A.P.M.Mohammed Hanish to KfW, the German funding agency, to expedite the communication and decision making process with regard to the Water Metro project. Mr. Adler visited KMRL’s corporate office in Kochi on Saturday and met top level officials of the agency, Cochin Smart Mission Limited and Water Metro.

The visit was part of Indo-German bilateral cooperation. The high-level delegation discussed German technical support for sustainable and climate-friendly development in Kochi.
