Two youngsters died in two separate incidents, which were recorded as unnatural deaths by the City police on Thursday.

Renjith, 21, an undergraduate student, died after he reportedly fell from the 12th floor of an apartment complex near the first Goshree bridge, where he lived, in the morning. He was rushed to a private hospital nearby but succumbed to injuries shortly thereafter. Though initially it was suspected to be a case of suicide, the police declined to confirm anything without proper investigation. Sources said any conclusion on the incident would be arrived at only after collecting statements of residents of the apartment complex and examining the autopsy report. The body was handed over to the youth’s relatives by afternoon after autopsy.

In another incident, the body of a youngster, who had been reported missing since Tuesday night, was reportedly found in the backwaters within the Mulavukad police station limits on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Godson Joseph, 25, of Varapuzha. The exact cause of the death is not known, and the police are investigating.
