Two held for smuggling ganja

Excise personnel on Wednesday arrested two persons on the charge of smuggling in ganja from Tamil Nadu by train.

The accused were identified as Mohammed Rafeeq, 34, and Anshad, 36, from Pattambi, Palakkad. Thripunithura Excise range inspector Biju Varghese led the operation, arresting the duo from a bus stop near the railway station. The duo were carrying ganja wrapped in cloth bundles.
