The Perumbavoor police on Saturday arrested two migrant workers who were in possession of 7.5 kg of ganja worth around ₹2 lakh.
Based on a tip-off, officials of the Kerala Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force arrested the Odisha natives and seized the contraband from them. The two were produced in a magistrate court at Perumbavoor and remanded in police custody for 14 days.
The arrest became possible as the police got wind of a team supplying ganja while they were probing a two-month-old ganja seizure case in which four migrant workers were held.
