Event for junior and senior categories; spot registration available

The 19th edition of The Hindu Young World quiz will be conducted at the Ernakulam Town Hall on Thursday.

The event, powered by Eveready Industries India Ltd, is open to students in the junior category (Classes 4 to 6) and senior category (Classes 7 to 9).

The registration for juniors will begin at 8.30 a.m. and the quiz will start at 10 a.m. For seniors, registration will be at 1 p.m. for the 2 p.m. event. Spot registration will be available and a registration fee of ₹200 will be collected from each team.

Each team should consist of two members and a school can field any number of teams. However, the team members should be from the same school. Students should bring their school identity cards or a letter from the school principal proving their bona fides.

Six teams will be selected from each category based on a written preliminary round.

However, not more than two teams from the same institution will be considered for the on-stage final round. K. Chandra Palan, Deputy Excise Commissioner, will be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Prizes will also be given to participants from the audience for giving instant answers.

The quiz has Thinking Code as the event partner.
