Spanish author opens book fest

KOCHI

Spanish author Oscar Pujol inaugurated the 24th Kochi International Book Festival here on Friday. In his inaugural address, Mr. Pujol said that Spanish language was prevalent in Kerala long before Vasco da Gama landed in India. He later interacted with the audience. Former Judge Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan presided over the event. Author C. Radhakrishnan delivered the festival message. T. J. Vinod, MLA, was also present. Goa Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai will inaugurate the children’s literature festival and literary fest on Saturday at 11 a.m. Children will get coupons worth ₹300 for buying books.
