Skill development programme ends

The State government is focused on extending high-level vocational skills to the youth and new models have been formulated for updating skills, Minister for Labour Shibu Baby John has said. He was inaugurating the valedictory function of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s vocational skill project for youth at the refinery complex at Ambalamugal here on Monday, said a press release here. The company offered a three-month skill development programme to 1,000 unemployed youths. The BPCL partnered with ITCOT Consultancy and Services Limited, Chennai, a joint venture of leading financial institutions, State development corporations and commercial banks for the project.
