Former Government Chief Whip P.C. George, MLA, has submitted before the Justice G. Sivarajan Commission inquiring into the solar scam that Saritha S. Nair’s revelation about the involvement of Jose K. Mani, MP, and another young MLA has been sabotaged jointly by the former Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Economic Offences) N.V. Raju, the Advocate General, and the Law Secretary.

Deposing before the commission, Mr. George alleged that appointment of B.G. Harindranath as Law Secretary was discussed at a Cabinet meeting as an outside agenda. Mr. George told the commission that Mr. Raju had worked as joint director, Kerala Judicial Academy, when Mr. Harindranath was functioning as its director.

Referring to the statement of Mr. Raju before the commission that he did not recall the names mentioned by Saritha, Mr. George said that such a statement was never expected from a judicial officer.

Mr. George told the Sivarajan commission that an inquiry be conducted into the relationship between Advocate General K.P. Dandapani, Mr. Harindranath, and Mr. Raju.
