Police fish out body of man

The Coastal Police fished out the body of a man from the waters near the Cochin Shipyard on Friday around 10 a.m.

The deceased was identified as Joe Thomas, 55, of Panampilly Nagar. The police have recovered a note from his car found abandoned on the Alexander Parambithara Bridge.

“Someone alerted the control room after the car was found unattended on the bridge. Following this, the police searched the car and the note was found. A patrol boat of the Coastal Police was deployed immediately following which the body was recovered,” said T.G. Rajesh, Sub Inspector, Harbour Police.
