A two-day-old baby girl was allegedly abandoned by her parents on Friday at the parish hall of a church in Edappally.

The Elamakkara police have registered a case against the parents invoking provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the Indian Penal Code. The visuals of the parents abandoning the child was obtained from the CCTV footage, the police said. The infant was later shifted to a nearby private hospital.
