Paravur case victim moves court

May 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KOCHI:

The victim in the North Paravur sexual exploitation case on Friday approached the Kerala High Court seeking to scale down her police protection as she was attracting undue attention at her workplace.

According to her, she had been provided employment by the government and was working as a clerk in a government office in Kakkanad. As she had been given police protection, three police constables, including two women constables, accompanied her whenever she went out of the government hostel. The visitors to her office could easily identify her because of the presence of uniformed police officers at the office.

The petitioner sought a directive to the police to “limit” the police protection in such a manner that she would not be identified or her privacy would not be affected.
