Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) will bring out a coffee-table book titled ‘Kochi Metro 365’, in connection with the first anniversary of Kochi metro beginning operations, in June.

The unique initiative is aimed at capturing the human moments in and around the Kochi metro.

“The people of Kochi have always shown remarkable ownership and pride in the Kochi metro project and we are constantly trying to match their aspiration to make it the best. On the special occasion of completing our first year of operations, who better to invite than the vibrant people of Kochi to celebrate!,” says KMRL managing director A.P.M Mohammed Hanish.

The photos clicked by people will find their place in India’s first people-powered coffee table book on a metro, in addition to winners receiving cash awards worth ₹1.5 lakh, he adds.

The project is divided into two phases. The first phase is a public photo contest in which anyone may capture the most emphatic moments of Kochi metro through their camera and submit them on KMRL’s official website (www.kochimetro.org) after registration. The contest will open on April 3 and end April 12. The second phase involves the creation of the coffee-table book.
