An inter-agency group involving voluntary organisations aimed at helping the district administration in times of natural disasters has been formed in Ernakulam.
A meeting convened by Sandhya Devi, Deputy Collector, Disaster Management, on Tuesday decided to come up with a detailed plan for disaster management in the district.
The District Disaster Management Authority will develop a plan to ensure proper coordination in disaster-affected areas in the district. A WhatsApp group involving the members of the voluntary organisations will also be formed as part of the initiative.
