June 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - KOCHI:

The Kerala High Court has directed the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to file an affidavit on the vacancies of reserve drivers as on July 1, 2104.

Justice P.V. Asha issued the directive on a petition filed by Venugopal of Cherthala and three others seeking a directive not to engage any person as reserve driver in KSRTC buses except the persons included on the rank list published by the Public Service Commission. The rank list is due to expire on August 22.

The court also directed the KSRTC to inform the court of the sanctioned strength of reserve drivers and the present physical strength of drivers as on June 15, 2015.
