Graft charges not to impact SmartCity

: SmartCity Dubai, the Dubai-based promoter of SmartCity Kochi, has clarified that the allegations of irregularities during the previous management would not impact the project and the inauguration of its first phase in December.

The auditing, a routine job, is progressing and the report will be submitted to board of directors, said Jaber Bin Hafez, Vice Chairman- SmartCity.

Mr. Hafez expressed satisfaction on the progress of the project and said the Kerala government was cooperating for making it a reality. He clarified that there would not be any compromise on the work or materials used for the project. The CEO, Baju George, has been stationed at Kochi to monitor the work, he said.
