Ebrahim Kunju sues Ganesh Kumar

Public Works Minister V.K. Ebrahim Kunju on Saturday filed a petition at the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate against K.B. Ganesh Kumar, MLA, and three others for allegedly defaming him in an interview on a Malayalam news channel.

In his petition, the Minister said the accused had levelled baseless allegations against him and demanded a compensation of Rs.5 crore for the damages caused.

According to the complainant, Mr. Ganesh Kumar, on March 30, gave an interview after his appearance as a witness before the Lok Ayukta. During the interview, among other matters, Mr. Ganesh Kumar made baseless, false, frivolous, vague, and per se defamatory allegations with ulterior motive and mala fide intention to malign the complainant and ruin his reputation among the public.
