The Right to Service Act to be implemented by the government will become a unique model in the country aimed at ensuring the rights of the common man, Anoop Jacob, Minister for Civil Supplies, has said.
Delivering the Independence Day message at the celebrations organised by the district administration at St. Albert’s College ground here on Wednesday, Mr. Jacob said that the initiative will help in the timely delivery of various services available in government offices to the public.
The Minister earlier received the salute at the Independence Day parade held at the venue. He also distributed the prizes for the best platoons which participated in the parade.
Students of various schools in the district, volunteers of NCC, Scouts and Guides, Sea Cadets, Junior Red Cross, Student Police, members of police and other forces participated in the parade.
Police force, including city, rural, and armed wing, revenue, PWD, education, fire force, health, GCDA, Kochi Corporation, Excise, forest, Motor Vehicle Department and other departments were also part of the celebrations.
