: Personnel from the Southern Naval Command will conduct a security awareness campaign along the coastal villages of Thrissur for two days from May 28.

“It is aimed at sensitising the coastal population to the threats from the sea and telling them how they can help tackle the challenge. It also includes suggestions to improve safety of fishermen while at sea,” said the Navy in a release. The campaign will be inaugurated at Government Regional Shrimp Hatchery Hall at Azheekode Jetty on May 28 at 10: 30 a.m. Camps will be held at Nattika beach, Chettuva harbour and Puthenkadapuram at Chavakkad. Coordinated by the Naval Officer in-Charge (Kerala), the camps are held in collaboration with the department of Fisheries and the Coastal Police.
