May 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - KOCHI:

The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate on Thursday dismissed a petition by the Central Bureau of Investigation probing the Kalamassery land grab case to conduct polygraph, brain-mapping and narco -analysis test on former land revenue commissioner T.O. Sooraj.

Unwilling to

undergo test

The petition was dismissed after Mr.Sooraj, who appeared before the court, expressed his unwillingness to undergo the test.

Last week, the CBI had sought permission from the court in this regard, stating that both the accused gave their consent to undergo these tests.

Meanwhile, former additional tehsildar C R Krishnakumari, who was also included in the petition, did not appear in the court.

Though the CBI had earlier tried to subject Salim Raj -- former gunman of chief minister Oommen Chandy – to the same tests in the case, he had declined to undergo them.
