The Jana Raksha Yatra led by BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan will enter the district on October 11. The yatra will be received at Karukutty at 12 noon and by 2 p.m., a pada yatra will be taken out by party workers from Edappally to Rajendra Maidan.
BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi and Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries Babul Supriyo will address a public meeting at Rajendra Maidan in the evening. In the run-up to the yatra in the district, various minority morchas of the party will hold rallies. Workers of the Yuva Morcha will take out a bike rally.
Announcing this here on Friday, party State secretary B. Gopalakrishnan claimed that the yatra had unsettled both the Left and the United Democratic fronts.
