BJP looks for major presence

: K. Radhika Varma, daughter of the late CPI(M) leader Captian Kerala Varma, is among the prominent candidates declared by the Bharathiya Janatha Party in the local body polls in Tripunithura. She will be contesting from the temple ward in the town.

Prominent faces

V. R. Vijaya Kumar, contesting in the Statue ward, Arun Kallath, State committee member, Yuva Morcha from Pavankulangara and previous councillor Seena Suresh from Vellakkinakal ward are among the prominent faces in the elections this time.

K. P. Subramanian, State committee member, BJP, in-charge of Tripunithura said that a lot of young and educated voters would be voting for change this time. He said that quite a few wards in the town held promise for the BJP this time.
