The city-based Institute of Small Enterprise and Development (ISED) has been appointed by the Union government as Institutional Associate to the Prabhat Kumar Committee on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) policy.

Mr. Kumar, former Cabinet Secretary, was appointed in February this year to head the high-power government committee. The committee will review the policy and practices on MSME development in the country and make recommendations on future policy directions. The recommendations are expected to lead to major changes in the administration of the MSMEs, especially in the context of the thrust given to start-ups and innovation.
