More cancellations in the domestic sector have been reported from the Kochi airport as the strike by a section of pilots in Air India entered into the third day on Friday.

Though no international flights have been disrupted so far the day, three flights - AI 509 and 519 to Bangalore and Chennai and AI 682 to Mumbai are among the services cancelled in the domestic sector.

According to the airline, passengers are given prior information regarding the flight status and steps have been initiated to endorse its passengers to other carriers.

The airline will be operating a special flight each in the Kochi-Calicut-Sharjah sector and Kozhikode-Dubai sectors during the day to clear the stranded passengers to the Gulf destinations.
