203 Wi-Fi zones in district

Public can use upto 1 GB a day for free

Ernakulam will have nearly 203 free WiFi centres under the K-Fi project of the State government.

The government had announced 1,887 free WiFi zones across the State under the project. These will come up at select public places like bus stands, district administrative offices, public parks, panchayat offices, prominent government offices, government hospitals, etc. The public can access WiFi on their laptops and mobile phones and use up to 1 GB of free WiFi upto 10 Mbps speed every day.

The project is being implemented by the State IT Mission. The free WiFi centres will also come at coastal areas, according to the officials. More details can be had from https://www.facebook.com/keralastateitmission.
