The TSRTC has launched the Vajra mini air conditioned bus service between Warangal and Hyderabad.

The ultra-modern buses went out in a convoy from the Hanamkonda depot to the Warangal railway station to promote the service among the citizens. A total of 15 21-seater buses would be operated between Warangal and Hyderabad. These buses do not travel from bus station to bus station but will be picking up and dropping off passengers from select locations in Warangal. The service is a purely mobile application based service and does not require the passenger to take tickets inside the bus.

Online tickets

Passengers who intend to take the bus must book their seats from the TSRTC mobile application or via the website. For passengers who do not have online access a conductor is placed with a tab to help the passengers book their tickets at Kazipet and Uppal depots. The tariff has been fixed at ₹ 300 for adult and ₹275 for child.

Regional Manager T. Surya Kiran said 24 pickup points have been identified in the three routes, the buses would travel through the city. “The route of each bus is defined by the passengers booking their boarding points. Each bus would take the passengers to their destination within 2.45 hrs. TSRTC is running these buses at on no-profit basis. We expect the service to take off successfully,” he said.

Already with the existing bus services like super luxury, Indra, Garuda and others passengers have 4,000 seats available per day.

With the introduction of the Vajra mini bus service, 1,200 more seats have been added.
