In another incident, a 26-year-old housewife ended her life by hanging from the ceiling fan at her residence in Sapotabagh under Saidabad police station limits.

Mr. Singh said that the victim was identified as Rubina Begum, wife of Shaik Ghouse, a car driver. The death came to light when the victim’s seven-year-old son saw her in the shocking state around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Rubina resorted to the extreme step when her children were asleep and husband, Ghouse and father Shaik Nawab, an autorickshaw driver left for duty.
