The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for terming June 2, Telangana State Formation Day, as “black day”.
Speaking to newspersons here on Friday, TRS leaders Balka Suman and Karne Prabhakar said by terming June 2 as black day Mr. Naidu had once again made his venomous intent against Telangana public. Reacting to Mr. Naidu's comments made at “Nava Nirmana Deeksha” organised by AP Government at Vijayawada, the TRS leaders said he was still unable to digest formation of Telangana State and it was clearly evident in his comments.
Spewing venom
“He (Mr. Naidu) is unable to digest the fact that Telangana State is a reality, even three years after the State formation, and that's why he's spewing venom at Telangana people, who are well aware of his attempts to scuttle the State formation till the last moment by using all his clout, instead of rejoicing their (Telangana people's) celebration”, the TRS leaders said. Instead of focusing on the development of AP Mr. Naidu was jealous at the strides of progress being taken by Telangana during the last three years, the TRS leaders said adding that he was doing it only to divert of people's attention in AP to cover up his government's failures. In his anxiety to express displeasure at Telangana Mr. Naidu was also finding his facts wrong by stating that combined Andhra Pradesh was divided on the independence day of Italy, the country to which AICC president Sonia Gandhi belongs to, as it was not on June 2 but was on March 17, they said.
