September 19, 2011 10:33 am | Updated 10:33 am IST - Hyderabad:

A day-long orientation training camp for intending Haj pilgrims was held at the Jamia Masjid Sahifa in Azampura on Sunday. There was overwhelming response with the three-storeyed mosque getting packed as a large number of pilgrims, including women thronging.

The State Haj Committee organised the training camp in association with the All India Jamiat-ul-Mashiakh (AIJM). A unique feature of Sunday's programme was the use of models and charts by ulemas to explain the various rituals connected with Haj and Umra. Moulana Syed Shah Azam Ali Sufi, president, AIJM, threw light on the ‘Manasike Haj'. He gave a step by step explanation of how to perform the Haj, the circumambulation of ‘Kaba', and the rules concerning ‘Saiee'.
