: The city police have discontinued the practice of collecting traffic challans on the spot.
The higher-ups have asked people not to pay on the spot challans. Instead, it has asked the public to pay penalties for traffic violations onlinewww.htp.gov.inor www.echallan.org or at the traffic compounding booth at Police Control Room.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jitender, through a press release, said that the traffic police have introduced the concept as part of cashless enforcement concept against traffic violations.

Violators can pay challans by visiting the traffic police website.
A visitor should click on the ‘net banking’ icon on the website and pay the challan through debit or credit card or net banking facility.
An application has also been developed for smart phones users. They can download the Android APP ‘E-Challan Telangana’ through ‘Play store’.
The traffic challans can also be paid at eSeva and Mee seva centres, AP Online Centres and Traffic Compounding Booth at Traffic Complex, Police Control Room Nampally.

Stickers for cab owners
Meanwhile, the Cyberabad police have asked cab owners who have registered before November 30 last to collect stickers, driver cards and owner’s cards from the Cab Registration Centre at Kukatpally.
The traffic police have warned of levying fines under the Motor Vehicle Act against those cabs not displaying the stickers .
