Tension prevailed in the old city following a tiff between two groups near Palki Garden Function Hall at Koka-ki-Tatti under Hussainialam police station area here on Wednesday night.

Two persons suffered injuries, following heated arguments between two groups. They were reportedly identified as Srideva (24) of Pardiwada and Khadir Pasha (40) of Hussainialam. The duo were rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.

After police got the information, they swung into action and brought the situation under control by dispersing the mobs. Top brass of Hyderabad police reached the spot and took steps to avoid the situation going out of control. Some mobile phone services were blocked in the area.
